BOTSWANA LAUNCHES FIRST HONORARY CONSUL IN SRI LANKA
The Non-Resident Botswana High Commissioner to Sri Lanka H.E. Lesego Ethel Motsumi officially launched Botswana’s first Honorary Consul in Sri Lanka Mr. Yommerenge Simon HewageJayasiri Silva on the 12th August 2014.
Mr. Silva is a well-established business man who has served in the Sri Lankan army. His business interests are spread across a wide range of sectors including security, sports equipment, shoe manufacturing and franchising. It is hoped that given Mr. Silva experience and contacts, he will work closely with the High Commission in India to strengthen the cordial relationship that exist between the two countries and open up opportunities for trade, investment and tourism
